Mou Ngo Ji Buddhist Temple

Reality hides in a cave. Standing in the Cave, we realize there is no cave, you nor the reality.

The project is to design a Buddhist temple in Hong Kong. The concept surrounds the process of searching for wisdom in the dark. It resembles to look for light in a cave. 

The temple layout follows the central axis of a traditional temple. Then, asymmetry together with contemporary minimal mass is introduced to the project.
